MISSION & VALUES
Our mission at The Crossing is two-fold: to help people become fully committed to Christ, and to plant churches.
What does it look like when someone is fully committed to Christ? Glad you asked. We believe that when someone is fully committed to Christ the following will be evident in their lives.
Growth
A commitment to follow Christ is not a one-time decision; it's a decision that must happen every day. It is a decision to place Jesus at the center of one's life by spending personal time with God on a day by day basis, allowing Him to transform every part of one's life. Hebrews 11:6, Luke 11:9
Giving
Jesus said, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." As a follower of Christ and someone who calls The Crossing Church home giving back to God at least 10% of one's income is honoring God by following a biblical principle. Beyond the 10%, giving generously and investing in others is an indication of the state of one's heart. Not only does giving show someone trusts God, but it is also a way that God brings order to one's financial situation. Finally, giving should always be out of love, not pressure. Groups
Life can be exciting and difficult. For this reason we all need others to stand with and walk beside as we travel along this journey. Plus, it's just a much better way to live. Following God was never intended to be done alone; God made us for relationships. Groups are where authentic relationships occur and needs are met through accountability and care. Hebrews 10:25, Acts 2:42-47
Gifts
Every person has been given gift to help others and serve God. At The Crossing we want to put our faith into action by volunteering our time to help others become fully committed to Christ. We challenge everyone at The Crossing to serve in a way that meshes with their talents and gifts both on Sunday and in the community throughout the week. When each of us fulfill our role we become much more effective as a church in sharing God's message of hope and love. John 13: 16-17
Go
When one stops and realized all that Christ has done for them, it compels them to make sure other experience Him as well. At The Crossing we strive to keep the same mission that Christ displayed while on earth. That's why we believe everyone should share the love of Christ every day and every way possible. A fully committed follower of Christ will produce fully committed followers. Luke 14:23, Mark 16:16, Acts 1:8
